The Great Inland Seafood Festival features a variety of tasty sea creatures.

The Ohio River might not be a body of water you typically associate with fresh seafood, but this weekend Newport’s festival grounds will be awash with delicious sea creatures of all kinds.

The Great Inland Seafood Festival brings together several riverside vendors from August 11-14, offering everything from oysters on the half shell and prawn po’ boys to crab bucket and seafood paella. Maine whole lobsters will also be available for $11.95.

Top off your shellfish with beer and live local music all weekend.
